The Windows XP version of Asus PC 1001PX has 160GB hard drive and 3 cell battery. Its battery timing is 5 hours. whereas the Windows 7 version of Asus PC 1001PX offers 250GB hard drive with 6 cell battery with a battery timing of almost 9hours.
However, the features of both the versions are attractive but those of Windows 7 are far better than Window XP version. Apart from these basic differences each model has three USB 2.0 ports, VGA out, 802.11 b/g WiFi, 3 megapixel web camera, 10/100 Ethernet and a multi format card reader. The price of Asus Eee PC 1001PX in Europe will be 214 Euros for Windows XP version and almost 300 Euros for Windows 7 version. The price is really attractive and low that is why it is being named as the budget netbook. It is wished to perform well in the European market as its specs and the European market both are really attractive.
