On 27th January this year in San Francisco Apple announced that it will be launching the Apple iPad soon. We all know that Apple has proven its excellence in the world of technology. It has come up with the most secured computer OS, its iPhone and iPod still capture the market. The new Apple iPad is targeted to do something more than that.
On the announcement about its launch some of its specs were unveiled by Apple. It is also called a tablet computer and it is something in between Laptop computer and smart phone. It is half-inch thick and its weight is just 1.5 pounds. It has a wide touchscreen of 9.7-inch with IPS LCD display and it is a multi-touchscreen. Normally the iPhone, iPod and other touchscreen laptops and smartphones do not have a multi-touchscreen option in them. It runs a custom 1GHz Apple “A4″ chip developed by the P.A. Semi team, with a 10-hour battery life and a month of standby. It will have a memory size of 16, 32, and 64GB which will be further expandable. This new device by Apple has a 30-pin Dock connector, a speaker, a microphone, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi and optional 3G. It also offers a pre-installed accelerometer and a compass. There is also a keyboard dock, which connects underneath in the portrait orientation. It also provides a USB port for camera, which allows you to take your pictures and transfer them to iPad.
Apple iPad has the potential to change the web browsing, video watching and picture browsing experience of the people. It will be user friendly and will be accessible to more than 140,000 Apple Apps on Apple store. It will prove to be a device that provides knowledge to people at hand. It will have 12 innovative applications which will attract the interest of the user. Apple has taken patent on these innovative technologies as well. This Unique and revolutionary device will be available in the market only in $499. Its launch is expected in the end of March or in the first week of April this year.
